  • Cocos2d 3.1 Spine Runtime

Hey guys,

we have just started our new game which makes heavy usage of the shader features which were introduced by cocos2d 3.1.
Our animation team would like to use spine to create the character and terrain animations.

We are facing some problems getting the spine runtime to work in cocos2d 3.1.
Is there currently any version of the spine runtime for cocos2d 3.1? - even beta versions would be fine.

3.1 isn't done yet but when Nate is back from vacation it will be updated for 3.1 Sorry for the wait.

We're in a similar situation and would love to purchase Spine but really need the v3 runtime.
I'm really hoping it will be finished shortly as we are about to start our project.

If you don't need FFD or meshes for now you can use the cocos2d-iphone-ext Spine support as discussed here:

...might give you a way to move ahead while waiting for the official Spine runtime for 3.1 to be done.

We've just finished up IK today and should release later. I believe Nate will be focusing on Runtimes now.

Sorry guys, I'm way behind where I want to be with the runtimes. I need to both update them to the latest version and implement new Spine features. The blame is a vacation to visit family, then a 5 day BJJ camp (got to get some exercise!). That's the bad news. The worse news is next week I have to be at a wedding. I won't be able to focus on runtimes until August 26th. It shouldn't take long once I get rolling.
