      I just updated to the latest version of Spine, each time I try and add a new skin placeholder to a new, or existing bone, Spine immediately crashes after entering a name for the new placeholder and clicking "ok".

      Actually, you're not supposed to create Skin placeholders on bones, you should only create them on Attachments or Slots. Skins - Spine User Guide: Skin placeholders
