  • Image replace problem

Hi everyone,

I changed some colors in several layers in photoshop but after i export it, the image has broken like in the reference picture. To fix it, i undo everything what i changed in photoshop and i export it but nothing has changed, the situation is still the same. I tried to delete the "face" image and export from ps again but it did not changed either. I've tried so many different ways to fix but i still have the problem. Do you have any solutions?

It seems like you are experiencing an issue where changes made in Photoshop are not reflecting correctly in Spine after export. This could be due to several reasons, such as the images not being replaced correctly in Spine or discrepancies in image sizes. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:

  1. Check Image Sizes: Ensure that the images you are exporting from Photoshop have the same dimensions as the original images in Spine. If the dimensions differ, it can cause distortion or misalignment.

  2. Replace Existing Attachments: When importing the images back into Spine, make sure to check the option to "Replace existing attachments." This ensures that the new images overwrite the old ones.

  3. Clear Cache: Sometimes, cached images might not update correctly. Try clearing the cache in Spine or restarting the application to see if the changes take effect.

  4. Verify Export Settings: Double-check your export settings in Photoshop to ensure they match the original settings used for the initial export. This includes scale, padding, and any other relevant settings.

  5. Backup and Re-import: As a last resort, you can try backing up your project and re-importing the images from scratch to see if that resolves the issue.

If these steps do not resolve the problem, consider sending your PSD and Spine project files to Esoteric Software for further investigation.

From just seeing the image, I am unsure if you exported at a new scale and didn't set for example half size on import, or if you removed some translucent pixels making the image used in the mesh path smaller, resulting in this weird distortion, did you perform a backup of your project and images before replacing all the images?

Erika Unfortunately I didn't. I was very confident when I made those little changes in Photoshop and I was sure I didn't change the dimensions of the images. But even if I change the dimensions without realizing it, shouldn't it restore itself when I undo everything?

I have an old version export of that project but when i try to import it into spine, i am having this error screen. And i don't think it is because of the version of spine. I tried to change the versions and i am having the same problem again.

Thank god i had an very old version of backup! I fixed the problem. I am sorry to bother you with this problem.

Perhaps it may help to look in the backup folder for a version of before your meshes were changed so that you can pair it with a previous version of the images. You can find automatic backups here:
