It would be nice to be able to change the draw order during animation (or have a equivalent of it). I'm trying to make an animation where the character turns around to climb a ladder and I would need to add second pair of every bone because some bones that were behind the body must now be in front and vice versa.

You don't need to add a second pair of bones, you can just add another slot to the bones and then key the visibility of the slots. You can have as many slots on a single bone as you want.

Keying draw order was one of the things that didn't make it in 1.0. It would be nice to have though.

Thanks. The solution with slots visibility should work for now (I thought drawing order was for bones not slots which is why I thought it would be hard).

The whole reason for slots is drawing order. 🙂 If bones were used for drawing order, you couldn't have two things attached to a bone where one is behind another bone and one is in front. This is very common in character skeletons.
