The skin_var2 placeholder becomes empty when the linked mesh in skin_var1 is edited. The art asset is still in the images folder, but it needs to be dragged back onto the art board.
I'm looking to adjust a mesh in skin_var1 and having the adjustments "update" to all the other skin variations.
But what seems to be happening right now is adjusting a mesh in skin_var1 removes that mesh in all other skin variations.
