This would be a great feature, though probably for region attachment rather than mesh attachment, as it would be easier to control. Depending on the runtime implementation, there are implications for texture packing. Eg, to wrap UVs the image needs to be at the edge of the texture (atlas page) in the directions that it tiles. Other implementations could be more flexible, but a little more complex.
We're currently focusing on some big features, so I'm afraid we won't be able to get to this any time soon. We'll put it in the enhancements backlog though!
