What a coincident, I am also hoping there is a way to merge skeletons whether it is a constraint, bone, or animation, etc. I split my character variations into multiple projects instead of using skins because there are just too many slots (oh man...that draw order list) and stuff that make the project a little hard to manager. Not to mention exporting each skin into its own skeleton is not natively supported from the program. From time to time I want to copy something over projects because they have common things and applying them to multiple projects is kind of time consuming and error prone. Its a hard choice whether to split or manage as one big project under this situation.
Just wondering, is it necessary to have the .spine project file saved in encoded form? If it is in text mode, at least some of us could manually merge projects (assuming we know what we are doing).
Btw, how is 3.9 development going? It has been a while now.
