After a bit of experimenting and watching some videos, I'm been thinking about the best way to create a mesh. Right now, I try to follow the contours of whatever I'm placing a mesh over. It ends up looking like the wireframe of a 3D model. This is all done manually, as I found weight placement to be sub-optimal if I let the program generate meshes automatically. Outside of the extra time commitment required, is this the best way to do things?
